Initial Setup

1. Remove Invertebrates and Chemical Filtration:

   • Remove all invertebrates from the tank, as they are sensitive to the medication.
   • Remove any chemical filtration (e.g., activated carbon) from the filter.

2. Dosing in Aquarium:

   • Dosage:
     • Use 5 mL (1 capful) of ParaGuard for every 40 liters (10 US gallons) of aquarium water.
   • Instructions:
     • Add the appropriate dose directly to the aquarium.
     • Repeat this dose daily as required, as long as the fish show no signs of stress.

3. Medicated Dip:

   • Dosage:
     • For a 1-hour dip, use 3 mL of ParaGuard per 4 liters (1 US gallon) of water in a separate container.
   • Instructions:
     • Place the fish in the dip solution for 1 hour.
     • Dips can be extended if the fish show no signs of stress.

Maintenance

1. Monitor Fish Health:

   • Observe the fish daily for signs of improvement or any adverse reactions.
   • Continue treatment for the full recommended period (typically 14 days for freshwater and up to 28 days for saltwater) to ensure complete eradication of parasites.

2. Maintain Water Quality:

   • Regularly check and maintain optimal water parameters (temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels).
   • Perform regular water changes to keep the aquarium environment healthy.

3. Post-Treatment:

   • After the treatment period, reintroduce invertebrates and chemical filtration to the aquarium.
   • Use activated carbon to remove any residual medication from the water.

4. Store Properly:

   • Keep Seachem ParaGuard in a cool, dry place.
   • Ensure the bottle is tightly closed after each use to maintain its effectiveness.

1. Can I use ParaGuard in a reef tank?
   Yes, but remove all invertebrates before treatment as they are sensitive to the medication.

2. How long should I treat my fish with ParaGuard?
   Treat daily until symptoms disappear, up to a maximum of 14 days.

3. Will ParaGuard affect my bio-filter?
   No, ParaGuard is safe for bio-filters and will not harm beneficial bacteria.

4. Available Sizes?
   100ml, 250ml & 500ml

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
