Initial Setup:

1. Dosing in Water:

   • Preparation:
     • Remove all invertebrates from the aquarium, as they are extremely sensitive to medication.
     • Turn off UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration like MatrixCarbon and Purigen.
   • Dosage:
     • Use 1 level measure (included) per every 20 liters (5 gallons) of aquarium water.
     • Dissolve the medication in a small amount of aquarium water before adding it to the tank.
     • Repeat this dose every 48 hours for a maximum of 3 doses.

2. Dosing in Food:

   • Ingredients:
     • 1 scoop of KanaPlex
     • 1 scoop of Seachem Focus
     • 1 tablespoon of food (preferably pellets or frozen food)
     • A few drops of water (if using dry food)
   • Instructions:
     • Mix KanaPlex and Focus with the food.
     • Add a few drops of water to help bind the mixture if using dry food.
     • Optionally, enhance palatability with Seachem GarlicGuard or Entice.
     • Feed the medicated food mix to the fish once daily until the infection clears or for up to 1 week.
     • Refrigerate or freeze any leftover medicated food between feedings.

Maintenance:

1. Monitor Fish Health:

   • Observe the fish daily for signs of improvement or any adverse reactions.
   • If the infection persists, consider repeating the treatment cycle. However, ensure the fish show no signs of stress before starting another round.

2. Maintain Water Quality:

   • Regularly check and maintain optimal water parameters (temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels).
   • Perform regular water changes to keep the aquarium environment healthy.

3. Post-Treatment:

   • After the treatment period, remove KanaPlex from the water using activated filter carbon like MatrixCarbon.
   • KanaPlex does not linger in the substrate or filter media, making it easy to remove.

4. Store Medications Properly:

   • Keep KanaPlex and other medications in a cool, dry place.
   • Ensure they are out of reach of children and pets.

1. Can KanaPlex be used with invertebrates? 
   Yes, when used in a medicated food mix, it is safe for tanks containing invertebrates.

2. How do I know if my fish needs KanaPlex? 
   Look for symptoms like clamped fins, lesions, loss of appetite, or bloating. Always diagnose accurately before treatment.

3. Is KanaPlex safe for long-term use? 
   It is recommended to follow the treatment duration and avoid prolonged use to prevent potential kidney damage.

4. Can KanaPlex be combined with other medications? 
   Yes, it can be used in conjunction with other Seachem medications like MetroPlex for more comprehensive treatment.

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
