Initial Setup:

1. Preparation:

   • Calculate Dosage: Determine the amount of Seachem Equilibrium needed based on the volume of water being treated. To raise the mineral content/general hardness (GH) by 1 meq/L (3 dH), add 16 grams (1 tablespoon) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of water.

2. Mixing:

   • Dissolve in Water: For optimum solubility, mix the measured Equilibrium with 1 liter (1 quart) of water. The resulting mixture will have a white opaque appearance.
   • Add to Aquarium: Pour the dissolved solution into the aquarium. It will impart a slight haze that should clear within 15-30 minutes.

3. Initial Dosing:

   • New Tank Setup: Add Equilibrium to the aquarium when setting up a new tank or when making water changes. Do not use Equilibrium when replacing evaporated water, as this does not affect mineral content.

Maintenance:

1. Regular Dosing:

   • Frequency: Use Seachem Equilibrium with each water change to maintain the desired GH levels. The standard dosage is 16 grams (1 tablespoon) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of water.
   • Mixing: Always dissolve Equilibrium in water before adding it to the aquarium to ensure even distribution and prevent localized pH swings.

2. Water Changes:

   • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular water changes to maintain water quality. During water changes, add Seachem Equilibrium to the new water to ensure the mineral content remains balanced.
   • Dosage: Use the standard dosage of 16 grams (1 tablespoon) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of water.

3. Monitoring:

   • Test GH Levels: Regularly test your aquarium water for GH levels using a reliable test kit. This helps ensure that the mineral content remains optimal for your plants and fish.
   • Adjustments: If GH levels are too low, increase the dosage of Equilibrium. If GH levels are too high, reduce the dosage accordingly.

4. Storage:

   • Keep Seachem Equilibrium in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the container is tightly closed to prevent contamination.

1. Can Equilibrium be used in a tank with live plants?
   Yes, Equilibrium is specifically designed to be safe and beneficial for planted aquariums.

2. How often should I use Equilibrium?
   Use Equilibrium when setting up an aquarium or making water changes. Do not use it to replace evaporated water.

3. Does Equilibrium introduce any chlorides or sulfates into the water?
   Equilibrium does not introduce any chlorides. The balance from the guaranteed analysis is from sulfate and water of hydration.

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
